Such a dream… the Chicago Cubs projects over the years have been my favorite. In collaboration with Levy, my creative scope ranged from concept development, art direction, interior styling, procurement for retail + food and beverage at the iconic ballpark. Notable projects include the World Series W retail collection, the World Series ring interior “goat” concept, 1914 Club retail and brand touch points, Chef’s Series brand activation and interior styling, and creative direction within the new Park at Wrigley spaces. Wonderful collaborators outside of Levy included Julie Nelson Design & Ponce Photography.
EPIC… working on the most beautiful stadium in the world was the pinnacle of my creative career at Levy. My scope was to create an elevated guest experience through memorable brand design. Concept development, package design direction, smallware direction, interior styling and staff uniform design was an almost 3 year project. The style project, outfitting 4,000 employees, each in signature looks varying by their department and position was truly unique. The collection consisted of Nike products, tailored suiting, custom made clothing, custom designed accessories, all with a multitude of branding elements to incorporate. The design team, HOK did an overwhelmingly exceptional job on the design and I worked in-tandem with them to curate and place the propping throughout the giant beauty. So many meetings, so many hours, but so very proud to have worked on each and every little detail down to the look of swizzle sticks… that’s brand love.
In collaboration with Levy’s retail division Rank & Rally my creative scope was to create a compelling pitch to win the retail business. The concept was Brooklyn Cool, a retail collection comprised of some of the coolest Brooklyn retail brands and designers. The collection launched with 30 unique limited-edition pieces, was a first for the NBA, and gave basketball lovers and Brooklyn fashionistas a new option for street style. Creating a new look for the team store, launching a first of it’s kind collaboration and working with such a forward thinking team was incredibly rewarding!
Working with Levy and getting the chance to work with the Disney Imagineers was creative zen. Creating a new look and experiential branding for an iconic restaurant in the Disney dining portfolio was a project that spanned over 3 years. The Strategy & Creative Group created a new vision for a paddleboat steamer with modern flair, Disney whimsy and Levy’s notable culinary talent. I worked with graphic designer Amy Rabas for the visual identity and then carried out the brand throughout playful touch point within the space. The “costume” design direction was crisp, clean and relaxed. The costumes had eco appeal with recycled materials, custom design aprons and accessories.
When a new NHL team is born you need to make a big statement. When the opportunity to create the retail brand strategy came along to Rank & Rally we wanted to make the launch shine brighter than the Vegas Strip. The goal was to give fans a compelling brand to follow, to wear and to pledge their undying loyalty to. We created memorable moments throughout the store with a modern thematic filter of Vegas, Knighthood and experiential shopping. With a wide range of creative freedom from the team we were able to successfully launch the retail brand, the store and various other brand extensions.
Worked on the project while a designer at Studio K, and then externally hired as a consultant to design the lobby with furniture, signage, art and propping.
In collaboration with Levy, the creative scope was to create a special guest experience programming with highly designed brand touch points including smallwares, uniforms, packaging and service elements for the new Notre Dame stadium club spaces. A very special collaborator was graphic designer Amy Rabas, who helped create my dream packaging with a new and exciting brand mark, an eco shamrock to indicate recycled materials. Go Irish!
The project scope with Levy consisted of pitching to win the business, create a captivating and whimsical family-friendly concept and make it come to life in an elevated way that guests of Disney will appreciate. I worked to create a vision for the brand direction, art & prop direction, costumes, smallwares, and all collateral.
One of biggest and most exciting events in American sports, the Kentucky Derby is an exceptional event fostered around tradition, legacy and dreams to win big. The venue of Churchill Downs operated by Levy, has gone through recent interior renovations and we elevated the design experience with new brand collateral in collaboration with Levy Graphic Designer, Amy Rabas, we customized and curated brand collateral, uniforms throughout the venue and executed interior styling of the elusive Mansion.
This Levy restaurant project was so …. much…..fun. Adding a sailboat to the space was a Pinterest dream come true and selecting artwork and props was a joy.
Design and propping throughout the office spaces. I find unique pieces from dealers, contacts and underground beatniks.
A treasured gem on restaurant row, in Chicago’s West Loop. This venue is so special to my heart, I worked with friends on the concept, put my heart and soul into every detail and every event. I was the marketing director of the group at the time who also gave me the liberty to style and prop the interiors. I will never forget sitting on the floor at 3 a.m. framing art and literally sweeping dust under the rug, two minutes before opening. The concept was created from Jessica Murnane & I’s love of dadaism, and the design elements and brand touch points were filtered through the admiration of Elsa Maxwell.
I worked with the dynamic marketing department at the hotel and WeCreateMedia for a two year visual campaign. We shot several scenes for the Del team to utilize for their marketing and media campaigns.
